Bird In Focus
By geir birkeland 23.05.2014 at 17:44 - Edited 23.05.2014 at 17:55

Uncommon shorebird

It is very few shorebirds feeding at Lista these days, compared to whats normal, therefore it was a great pleasure to see this lonely Broad-billed Sandpiper this morning in Vågvollvika. It has, like the Nightjars and the Northern Nightingale that was seen yesterday, an eastern migrating route and an uncommon breeding appearance in Norway.
