Eurasian Jay

The Jays are breaking records this autumn. This year's invasion started much earlier than previously invasions. The old daily record of 600 ind. was beaten on September 13, when 640 ind. were recorded. Then on 20 September, a new amazing record of 820 ind.

Also in the ringing we had new record numbers, with 23 Jays ringed in one day on September 11. The total number of ringed Jays this autumn has already passed 100, which is also a solid record.
