The Great Reed Warbler is a summer guest which spends the winter in tropical Africa. This species breeds in reedbeds in most of Europe and North Africa and further east through Central Asia.
The reedbeds the Lista bird observatory area have been drastically reduced. It has therefore become a very rare species in the area. The figures below show updated data from the bird station:
