The Twite is an irruptive species mainly found along the coast in Norway. It is mostly observed during April-October, as most of them migrate southwards before winter. It is assumed that there has been a population decline in the interval 15-30% in the last 10-years in Norway and the species is classified as "near endangered" on the Norwegian red list.

The Twite is ringed in small numbers at Lista BO. The figures below show updated data from the bird station:
