The Common Whitethroat is a long-distance migrant which breeds in bushes, often on beach moors, as well as in cultural landscapes with dense shrubs. This species overwinters south of Sahara. It arrives to Lista in late spring.
During the first three autumn seasons, there was use of playback for this species during the ringing. The material from the autumn of 1990-1992 is therefore not included in the presentation.
