Brambling
Bjørkefink (Fringilla montifringilla)

The Brambling is abundant in northern Norway and in mountain birch forests in southern Norway. The species is considered a short-distance migratory bird, which can sometimes also overwinter along the Norwegian coastline, but many of them migrate to Central and Southern Europe.

At Lista BO, we count some thousands of migrating Bramblings every autumn. The figures below show updated data from the bird station:
