The Corn Bunting has probably always been in few numbers in the country. It is classified as regionally extinct (RE) in the Norwegian Red List. In the period 1990-2020, the species has been seen breeding at Lista in 2003, 2019 and 2020.
We consider it a rare species in the bird observatory area, with an average of less than 5 observations per year. The figures below show updated data from the bird station:
