Volunteer position autumn 2021

Many Blue Tits in the nets

Lista Bird Observatory requires a volunteer assistant for the autumn 2021, from aprox. Sept 15 to Oct 23. We run standardized ringing campaigns, census and daily migration counts of both passerines and seabirds. Approximately 4000 birds are ringed every autumn.

Requirements:

• experience in bird ringing and/or counts of migrating seabirds
• willingness to work very early mornings, and sometimes long days on the field, sometimes in harsh weather conditions
• eager to work as part of a team
• be fully vaccinated

The compensation is 600 NOK per week and the observatory will provide accommodation.
