Live updates from the ringing room (22.07.2011)
Follow the ringing directly as birds get registered. In addition to seeing which birds are ringed here and now, you can also look at the numbers for other days, and how the different species are doing compared to the previous 20 years. The system updates every ten minutes. Take me there!

Autumn season has started (18.07.2011)
The bird observatory opened again on July 15th, and in total 190 birds were ringed on the first day of autumn season. During the second day, 94 birds were caught in the mist nets. Willow warblers topped the ringing numbers with a total of 53 for the first day, and 15 on the second day. Chaffinches hold a good second place with a total of 44 individuals ringed on the first two days.

The bird observatory closes for the summer (10.06.2011)
During the peak of the breeding season, from June 10 until July 15, Lista Bird Observatory closes its mist nets and ringing activities.

Rekordtidlig ankomst av svaler (08.04.2011)
Det gamle ordtaket "en svale gjør ingen sommer" er kjent for de fleste. Imidlertid står dette ordtaket for fall. Så vel låvesvale som sandsvale har nemlig allerede ankommet Lista i antall vi aldri har sett så tidlig før.
